Job Title: Facilities Officer
The role of the Facilities Officer is to carry out activities related to technical and asset maintenance, as well as capital upgrade projects within the facilities management unit.
* Coordinate and manage contractors working within occupied facilities.
* Monitor and report on contractor compliance, escalating concerns or non-compliance as required.
* Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks for various premises.
* Offer guidance through coaching and mentoring detainees, driving a positive workplace culture.
* Develop work skills with the goal of improving post-release employment opportunities.
Key Requirements:
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
* A significant amount of relevant experience working in a building/construction trade, project management, facilities/asset management or similar field is highly regarded.
* An unrestricted driver's license and a current Working with Vulnerable People clearance are also mandatory requirements.
It is desirable for applicants to hold a construction white card and high-risk work licenses for working at heights, elevated work platforms, and forklifts. Experience in liaison and negotiation with the public and private sector, as well as experience working within a custodial or secure environment, is also beneficial.
