Responsibilities and Expectations:
This role requires a high level of technical understanding and leadership, with MS or PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering or equivalent. Over 10 years of in-depth experience in marine fouling control coatings is necessary. Coordinating multiple complex activities in a global environment and providing positive guidance across teams is crucial.
You will guide project planning and execution, provide expert knowledge and technical leadership to overcome project obstacles, and deliver unique products on time in full (OTIF). Monitoring competitive landscape to assess IP strategy and effect on PPG marine business is also required.
This role involves collaborating with project management and commercial teams to maintain project portfolio consistent with business and market needs, managing PPG IP landscape in fouling control segment, and working with project team to outline patent strategy for important innovations.
