We are seeking a Data-Focused Quality Engineer to join our team for a critical project involving complex data integrations and large-scale reconciliations across enterprise environments.
In this role, you will take ownership of testing complex data flows, validating transformation logic, and ensuring complete accuracy through detailed reconciliation between source and target systems.
You'll work extensively with SQL and ETL processes, applying advanced query skills to verify backend data, track anomalies, and troubleshoot integration issues.
Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and strong communication skills are required as you regularly engage with technical teams, business stakeholders, and project leads to ensure data quality across the delivery lifecycle.Please note: Due to the nature of this work, you must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain security clearance.ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of testing complex data flows and validate transformation logic.Perform large-scale data reconciliations across enterprise environments to ensure data completeness, consistency, and accuracy.Verify backend data using SQL and ETL processes; track anomalies and troubleshoot integration issues.Collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and project leads to ensure data quality throughout the delivery lifecycle.Engage in Agile or hybrid delivery models and participate in structured test management processes and defect management using tools such as JIRA.Essential Skills and ExperienceProven experience in data-centric testing with strong SQL skills (complex joins, aggregations, stored procedures) for backend validation.Hands-on experience with ETL testing, including verification of transformation rules and data mappings.Experience performing large-scale data reconciliations across multiple systems to ensure data accuracy.Strong background in System, Integration, and End-to-End Testing for data-heavy applications and platforms.Competence in API testing using tools such as Postman, including payload validation and error condition testing.Ability to derive effective, risk-based test scenarios from functional and non-functional requirements.Experience in Agile or hybrid delivery models with strong collaboration and communication skills.Exposure to defect management tools such as JIRA and structured test management processes.Nice to HaveExposure to major SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, MS D365, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, Dayforce, ADP Workforce Now).
