Park Attendant
to join our team.
Join our Parks Team and make a difference in our local community We're looking for a dedicated and motivated Park Attendant to help maintain and improve Council's parks, reserves, sports fields, road reserves, cemeteries, gardens, and beaches.
In this exciting and varied role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our local parks and open spaces. You'll undertake a range of tasks, from garden maintenance to asset upkeep of park infrastructure. As a valued member of our team, you'll help create safe and enjoyable outdoor spaces for our community to enjoy.
On a Typical Day, Your Duties Will Include
* Undertaking maintenance across a variety of parks and open spaces, including reserves, sports fields, and cemeteries.
* Mowing, edging, weeding, and pruning gardens and lawns.
* Treating pests, diseases, and weeds to maintain healthy landscapes.
* Cleaning and maintaining park facilities, including playgrounds and recreational infrastructure.
To be successful in this role you will
* Have practical experience in horticulture and the maintenance of parks, gardens, sports fields, and open spaces.
* Hold a valid driver's licence and be confident operating plant and equipment.
* Be a reliable and motivated team player, able to work independently when required.
* Understand and follow workplace health and safety requirements.
* Be committed to maintaining safe, welcoming, and well-kept community spaces.
Remuneration And Benefits
Employment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per week with 9-day fortnight)
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $60,954.05 per annum with the opportunity for competency-based progression up to $68,226.43 per annum.
