Data Analyst
Location: Mile End, South Australia, Australia

What you’ll do
- Collect, clean, and interpret data from multiple sources to support business objectives
- Develop dashboards and reports that communicate insights clearly to stakeholders
- Identify trends and patterns to guide strategic decision‑making
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through rigorous validation and quality checks
- Champion the adoption of a data‑driven culture
- Provide self‑service BI, to enable business end users to access data that is available and reliable from a single data model (source of truth), ensuring continuous improvement is taken account
- Utilise data mining methods and algorithms to identify patterns in data
- Test predictive models, utilising machine learning tools to validate their accuracy, efficiency and relevance
- Analyse and compare current data management and controls and processes with best practice
Essential Criteria
- Formal tertiary qualification in computer science or a relevant field
- Proven business analyst experience within a medium to large‑scale organisation with multiple complex platforms in a fast‑paced environment
- Proven experience with integration of data from multiple data sources
- Demonstrated working knowledge of languages such as SQL, Java, Python, R & DAX
- Sound knowledge of Excel, SQL, noSQL, data visualisations, maths, stats, machine learning and data mining
- A satisfactory National Criminal History Record Check that complies with ACH Group Policy, no older than 12 months at commencement of employment
- Hold a current driver’s licence that complies with Australian licensing laws and regulations
- Demonstrated sound working knowledge of best practice principles in data warehousing, business activity monitoring, digital dashboards and analytics
Desirable Criteria
- Aged care and/or not‑for‑profit experience
- Six sigma principles and balanced scorecard
- Working knowledge of ETL, BI (business intelligence) strategies and OLAP (online analytical processing)
- Understanding of current and emerging technologies and potential application to the business environment
- Understanding of internet, intranet, database and web‑based systems
