We have an exciting opportunity for a SEO Manager to join Kmart Group The SEO Manager is responsible for owning and leading the development of a comprehensive enterprise ecommerce SEO strategy that delivers online traffic and sales growth opportunities across both Kmart and Target brands. This role works cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Experience (CX), and Marketing teams to build and execute a strategic roadmap aimed at driving online and in-store traffic and revenue through enhanced organic search performance across desktop and mobile platforms.
What you'll be doing
As a SEO Manager working for Kmart Group you will:
1. Create, develop and execute SEO strategy and ongoing program of work
2. Develop strategic and innovative SEO initiatives that will help us boost our organic performance online and in-store
3. Perform comprehensive audits of our portfolio and gap/threat analysis of competitors
4. Create and develop a local SEO strategy through optimising Kmart Group's Google My Business platform to drive incremental foot traffic via SEO
5. Conduct research, provide recommendations and proactively share SEO strategies/tactics that will help elevate areas of SEO improvement
6. Motivate to develop and engage SEO Specialists within the team
7. Be responsible for content strategy and auditing on, and to design a high performing SEO Content framework that will provide guidance to cross functional teams
To be successful in this role you'll have:
8. 10-15 years' experience in a similar role or field
9. Extensive experience in organic content strategy, as well as the technical SEO, paid/organic search synergies, off-site link building, and SEO for CMS/ecommerce platforms
10. An experienced people leader of SEO teams across technical, content, and link building
11. Experience developing & implementing an SEO strategy for a large ecommerce business
12. Hands on technical and content SEO optimisation experience with agency client facing responsibility a strong asset
13. Working knowledge of Angular, React, HTML, AJAX CSS, PHP, Java-script, and other valuable media technologies
14. Advanced knowledge & experience of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEO enterprise tools (BrightEdge, SEMRush), SEO A/B testing tools (e.g. Clarity), and Screaming Frog
This is a highly collaborative role requires exceptional senior stakeholder management across cross-functional teams. We are looking for a strategic leader with a results driven mindset that can formulate and inspire others around the vision for SEO at Kmart - clearly communicating the value of a SEO project to any audience.
