**Selection Criteria**:
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
1. Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven capacity to build positive relationships and engagement across the school community which help to create a vibrant and positive school culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
2. Evidenced ability to plan and lead collaborative, whole school high impact qualified learning that supports a dedicated school staff to enhance high academic, social and cultural expectations across the school and community.
3. Demonstrated deep knowledge of the curriculum and a capacity to lead and support staff in the development and implementation of high quality, differentiated programs and assessment of high potential and gifted students to improve engagement and achievement.
4. Demonstrated exemplary teaching and proven ability to lead teachers in the analysis of data to inform strategic planning, identify opportunities for student growth and implement evidence-based, innovative pedagogical practice to improve student outcomes.
**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
5. Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
6. Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
