Accounting Leadership Role
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead a small finance team and play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial reporting.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical knowledge of management accounts, month-end/year-end processes, and statutory reporting, with a proven track record of developing colleagues and leading a finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
* Manage month-end processes, including journals, adjustments, and balance sheet reconciliations
* Support preparation of statutory financial statements for the Group and subsidiaries
* Act as audit lead and coordinate external auditors
* Maintain accurate financial records and asset registers
* Oversee payroll function and ensure timely and compliant processing
* Ensure robust financial controls and processes are in place
* Lead, support, and develop a team of three finance professionals
* Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation
About Our Ideal Candidate:
* A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience
* Proven experience leading a finance team and developing colleagues
* Strong technical knowledge of management accounts and statutory reporting
* Working knowledge of FRS 102 and the UK tax environment
* Solid understanding of payroll processes
* Excellent IT skills and interpersonal communication skills
