Name a type of project that comes out of the ground or goes into the ground, chances are we have prepared documents to provide how that will occur and how risk will be managed, or we have dealt with an associated dispute arising from time, quality or cost. Work with motivated and supportive partners, assisting in strengthening the practice at a time where our National Construction, Infrastructure & Projects team continues to grow and develop.
About the role
This role provides the opportunity to work with our partners across a range of clients in the construction industry both private and public sector, working primarily on disputes work with the opportunity to have involvement in advisory matters. Whilst the practice mostly supports asset owners—including institutional investors and government—we act for all industry participants, providing a great variety of work for all team members. Our clients engage us across the full project lifecycle, providing opportunities to work on everything from negotiating and documenting the project, supporting the clients through procurement and construction, and dispute management and formal dispute resolution, including security of payment.
About you
We are seeking someone with at least 5 years PAE experience gained from a well‐regarded construction practice, having experience in all courts and tribunals in NSW and in security of payment adjudications. Both your experience and a genuine passion in construction will help you to secure this position. You will be a self‐starter, demonstrate excellent communication skills and drive, possess exceptional drafting skills, enjoy a busy work environment and a collaborative work culture, and enjoy working with junior lawyers and paralegals with the ability to impart knowledge, mentor and develop.
