A leading independent property group is seeking an experienced and strategic
General Manager
to play a pivotal role in driving business performance and operational excellence across a multi-office network.
This newly available opportunity has been created through internal growth and offers the chance to work closely with an experienced leadership team in a fast-paced, people-driven environment.
The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Board, you'll be responsible for aligning business objectives with operational and financial performance. You'll lead a capable leadership group across key departments — including sales, property management, marketing, HR, and operations — ensuring consistency, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the business.
The role will also oversee the integration of new business acquisitions, mergers, and shareholder transitions, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety and influence at both strategic and execution levels.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee business integrations, shareholder buy-ins, and mergers
* Align resources, budgets, and KPIs with business and financial goals
* Lead and mentor department heads through regular performance reviews and planning meetings
* Manage company expenditure, budgets, and financial reporting to the Board
* Drive operational improvements and streamline systems and processes
* Oversee recruitment, terminations, and remuneration strategies
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and internal governance frameworks
* Oversee marketing, client experience, and brand performance initiatives
* Manage supplier contracts, subscriptions, and office maintenance
* Coordinate staff engagement events, recognition programs, and training sessions
* Oversee annual audits, CPD training, and internal compliance reviews
* Maintain workplace health and safety standards across all locations
About You
You're an experienced business leader with a strong commercial mindset and a proven track record in managing high-performing teams. You thrive in environments where you can take ownership, influence outcomes, and drive structure and accountability across a growing organisation.
Experience within the
real estate or property sector
will be highly regarded, along with a hands-on, pragmatic leadership style and the ability to balance strategic vision with day-to-day operational oversight.

Salary:
$150K + negotiable for the right candidate
