Get paid to live in paradise and join the Infrastructure Asset Management team as a Maintenance Manager Operations overseeing the Cairns facilities. In this role you will be co-ordinating operational activities of a multi-disciplinary Infrastructure Asset Management team. This position is responsible for managing minor new works which includes co-ordination of in house staff and contractors. About us: Infrastructure Asset Management provides planning, construction, operation and maintenance of all districts physical facilities, engineering systems, plant and equipment to meet strategic objectives within a quality environment. Our team consist of professional, operational, administrative and trade staff. The Trades include electrical, fitting, plumbing, carpentry and HVAC. These responsibilities are exercised through the management of in house labour and the management and supervision of day labour and/or contractors where necessary to supplement in-house labour.
About you:
In your new role you will……
* Investigate feasibility and viability and provide scoping of minor new works and projects.
* Facilitate all IAM Department activities related to service delivery.
* Identify and co-ordinate training requirements for the IAM Department trade staff.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will…..
* Ensure all statutory and mandatory preventative maintenance is carried out in accordance with legislative requirements.
* Ensure an adequate supply of stock items including materials, specialised tools, equipment and minor plant are on hand to support operations at all times.
* Ensure all statuatory requirements have been met with respect to building approvals etc.
* Conduct weekly site inspections of Cairns Hospital. Areas and equipment include but are not limited to generator rooms, plant rooms, diesel pump room, building foundations, air-conditioning spaces, grounds and gardens & raise maintenance requests in the Computerised Maintenance Management Systems for any defects found during inspections.
