Orontide is currently offering opportunities for experienced and motivated Mechanical Fitting Tradespersons to join our workshop-based team. About the Role Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Mechanical Fitter will provide support for Maintenance Repairs and Rebuilds of Valves, Pumps, Gearboxes, Pulleys and assembly of internal manufactured components. To be successful for this position, you must possess the following: Relevant Australian Recognised Trade Qualification (Fitting) (Motor Mechanic) Current Driver’s License. Strong fault finding and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Positive and proactive approach to safety. Able to pass Drug & Alcohol screening. 4.5 Day week (Monday - Friday) NB: The successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment medical and complete an on-boarding process to verify employment history, qualification, and police clearance. To be successful for this position, you must possess the following: Trade qualifications in relevant discipline essential Experience within similar positions with extensive industry experience Knowledge of, and commitment to, safety Sound time management skill Self-starting and able to work with minimal supervision.
