Australia greater geelong contract up to au$55.24 per hourTalent International is searching for experienced Procurements and Contracts Officer to join our client, a Geelong based national disability support organisation.
This is a initil 12 month hourly rate contract paying $55.24 + Super, with 37.5 hours worked weekly.
**About the Role**:
The Procurement and Contracts Officer is a team membership position and is accountable for organising their workflow and making independent decisions relating to an area of responsibility.
The position will provide policy advice within an area of specialisation with advice based on policies and legislation.
The position is accountable under limited supervision to undertake moderately complex to complex research, analysis and advice work. Legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents guide the position as it provides procurement advice.
**Responsibilities**:
- Providing level administrative support to the Procurement team, managing confidential and sensitive information.
- Providing procurement advice and support to the broader organisation.
- Delivering support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules and Guidelines and organisational Procurement Policy and procedures.
- Assisting with tracking value for money based outcomes and preparing reports against KPIs
- Preparing a range of procurement related documentation.
- Entering, extracting and manipulating data to enable accurate reporting.
- Contributing to team and branch planning activities including identifying opportunities for improvements.
**Skills and Experience Required**:
- Previous Procurement experience, preferably in a Government Agency or Department
- Delivering support and advice in relation to compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules
- SAP experience
