Job Description:
This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in commercial environments.
* Commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems will be a primary responsibility.
* A strong understanding of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts is required to perform tasks efficiently.
This position requires collaboration with team leaders and customers to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs.
The technician will serve as the direct customer contact and ensure customer satisfaction by identifying, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems.
Utilizing cutting-edge software and technology, the successful candidate will diagnose and repair units, following blueprints or engineering specifications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A High School Diploma or equivalent is required, along with 5 plus years of experience in HVAC.
* Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with handheld computers are necessary.
* A valid driver's license with no major or frequent traffic violations is required.
* EPA Certification is also necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical fitness is essential, allowing the candidate to safely operate vehicles and equipment and navigate confined spaces.
Work Environment:
This role may expose the candidate to variable weather conditions, moving mechanical parts, heights, risk of electrical shock, noisy operating equipment, and other environmental conditions based on location.
