Nursing Coordinator, Victorian Heart Hospital
New position available for a talented Nurse Coordinator to play a key role in the efficient and effective bed management to optimise patient access and flow across our new heart hospital and other Monash Health sites.
Embracing a new model of care to patient model, this role requires demonstrated recent leadership and management experience coupled with the proven ability to communicate clearly, thrive in a changing dynamic environment and role model excellence in clinical practice.
Key aspects of this strategic leadership role include:
1. Coordination of bed management and patient access and flow
2. Site emergency management
3. Escalating appropriately and pre-emptively potential and actual clinical and non-clinical risk issues
4. Utilisation and management of site resources to achieve a high standard of nursing care in accordance with legislation and regulations.
Full/Part time ongoing position working across a seven day per week roster including AM, PM and Night Shift.

The Nursing Coordinator is a pivotal role requiring planning, implementing, and evaluating care practices, policy compliance, processes and services.
To ensure your success in this position, you will have following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
5. Registered with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia via AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
6. Significant current clinical, managerial and leadership experience
7. Successful completion of Basic Life Support training within 6 weeks of commencement of employment and then annually thereafter Nursing Coordinator
8. Post graduate qualification studies in nursing leadership/ management, or working towards same is desirable
9. Proven ability to build rapport, collaborate, problem solve, influence outcomes and facilitate open discussion to achieve excellence in patient centred care in accordance with legislation and regulations.
10. Thrive leading by example, able to confidently engage with others at all levels to support complex discharge planning
11. Effective management of human and fiscal resources is paramount to the success of this role
12. Innovative thinker able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
