Overview
We are in need of casual Direct Support Workers in Hervey Bay and surrounding suburbs.
As a Direct Support Worker, you'll be an integral part of the lives of people of all ages and backgrounds. You will assist with, but not limited to:
Responsibilities
1. Providing personal care support, including showering, toileting, dressing and more.
2. Administering medications.
3. Transferring individuals using hoists and slide sheets, and general assistance with mobility.
4. Domestic duties including cleaning, laundry or meal preparation.
5. Community engagement, such as attending doctors appointments, grocery shopping or other social or recreational activities of their choice.
Ideal candidate
6. CPL provide 24/7 assistance, meaning the more available you are, the more shifts we can potentially offer you. We have variety of shifts times between 6am - 10pm and overnights.
7. Are great communicators dedicated to providing the best service for every person
8. Are even better listeners who can work autonomously, as well as under direction and within a team environment
9. Calm and confident in all different environments and understand the importance of professional boundaries
10. Can provide personal care with dignity and sensitivity to our clients
11. Believe in an inclusive society and value client focus, respect, inclusion, integrity, excellence, and courage

18. Current First Aid and CPR certificates
19. A Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
20. An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities, formerly a Yellow Card)
21. Commitment to infection prevention and control measures including the use of PPE as directed
22. Driver\'s License and Vehicle
23. A smartphone with an iOS 13.0+ or Android 6.0+ operating system
