Job Title: Junior Mine Geologist
\
The Greenstone Mine is one of Canada's largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Our mine site is located in Geraldton, Ontario, and we offer a 14 on/14 off rotation.

Key Responsibilities:
\
* Support the Manager while working in a production team to maximize ore recovery through accurate identification of mineralization, optimal ore classification, and supervision of extraction.
* Perform in-pit geological mapping and data analysis for both grade control and geotechnical evaluation purposes.
* Compile and interpret geologic and assay data to define grade distribution (ore-waste boundaries) and facilitate efficient mining.
* Ensure accuracy of production dig line mark-ups.
* Report in-pit production and material movement activities.
* Update the grade control database and design production ore blocks.
* Ensure all mine geology activities follow health and safety policies and regulations.
* Mentor Geological technicians.
* Participate with end-of-period grade and tonnes reconciliation.
* Work with the Manager on new work approaches, methods, and policies to optimize performance and ensure adherence to organizational standards.
* Participate in production meetings with Mine Operations and Engineering.
* Implement processes, policies, systems, and practices within Geology that contribute to effective geology operations.

Required Experience and Skill Set:
\
* 1+ years of industry experience.
* Prior experience in an industrial setting; mine site experience is an asset.
