We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Civil Engineer Technician with expertise in civil construction and retaining wall projects to join our team on a Full time basis. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in preparing and overseeing the construction of concrete roads and retaining walls, ensuring quality, safety, and timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Extract detailed take offs from drawings and specifications.
Provide detailed BOQ's
Supervise and manage all aspects of site operations for concrete road and retaining wall construction projects.
Ensuring the highest quality standards are met.
Supervise reinforced concrete works for retaining walls, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
Manage the day-to-day operations of contractors and subcontractors to ensure work progresses smoothly and within budget.
Monitor and ensure compliance with safety standards, quality controls, and environmental regulations during all construction activities.
Coordinate with construction managers, project coordinator, engineers, and other stake holders to report on project progress and resolve any issues on-site.
Inspect work and verify that all construction activities align with project plans and specifications.
Prepare detailed daily and weekly progress reports.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation for all materials, equipment, and construction phases related to concrete work.
Implement best practices for pavement design, concrete mix design, and road drainage systems.
Ensure adherence to project timelines and assist in the resolution of technical problems that may arise during construction
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in civil construction and retaining wall projects.
Strong knowledge of concrete paving techniques, including preparation,reinforcement, curing, and finishing processes.
Familiarity with concrete mix design, road construction specifications, and pavement design.
Proven experience with roadworks including drainage systems.
Proficiency in the use of construction management software and Microsoft OfficeSuite.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving site issues.
Knowledge of construction health and safety standards and the ability to enforce compliance.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in site engineering or project management.
Familiarity with advanced concrete technologies.
Prior experience on large-scale roadwork projects.
