Current graduates (or soon to be graduates) are welcome to apply.About The DepartmentThe department employs approximately 100 (full time) Occupational therapists working in Queensland state schools supporting students with disability to achieve the best outcomes from their education.About The RoleOccupational Therapists in the Department of Education work within schools teams to support students to access their educational environment and participate in learning.Responsibilities IncludeProvide contemporary, evidence based occupational therapy services to students in state schoolProvide occupational therapy services which adhere to legislation and Department of Education policies and proceduresWork within multidisciplinary teamsWork within a multi tiered system of support in schoolsMaintain knowledge and skills in providing occupational therapy in schoolsEngage in professional supervisionBenefitsDedicated supervision and peer mentoring to assist with your professional support and ongoing development.Comprehensive department and discipline specific induction programsProfessional development allowance with negotiation to complete in work hours (up to 5 days paid per year)A supportive and flexible work environment.
