A bit about the role....
Under the guide of our Head Chef, you will deliver simple, yet delicious dishes that showcase your skills and experience as a professional chef. We're seeking a talented chef to cover breakfast service, conferencing and events, dinner service and staff meals across five regular shifts per week.
Your day to day...
As Chef de Partie your key responsibilities will include:
* Food preparation – prepare menu items for the Harbourside Bar and Kitchen and Events at the hotel.
* Teamwork – work closely with a small but dedicated kitchen team.
* Quality – maintain high standards of food preparation, consistency, and presentation.
* Cost control – work in a highly productive manner minimizing waste where possible.
* Cleanliness – maintain a high standard for kitchen and equipment cleanliness.
* Health and safety – maintain high standards of health and safety.
A bit about you...
* Excellent knowledge of culinary trends, techniques, local ingredients and international cuisines.
* Creative flair and a passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
* Constructive and adaptive communication skills.
* Confident managing others and working independently.
* Available to work nights and weekends.
* Knowledge of local food safety regulations.
* Australian permanent resident with full work‐rights.
