Join a growing business as their company accountant Your new company A well-established and growing organisation operating within a dynamic commercial environment is seeking a motivated Accountant to join their collaborative finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work within a multi-faceted business, supporting end-to-end finance operations while leveraging modern ERP systems to drive accuracy, efficiency, and reporting capability.
Your new role Reporting to the GM, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting function and ensuring the integrity of financial data across the business. You will play a key role in month-end processes, financial reporting, and continuous improvement within the finance function. Key responsibilities include:
End-to-end processing of financial transactions within the ERP system Managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accuracy of financial records
Processing payroll journals, fixed assets, and inventory transactions Delivering month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Preparing financial reports and analysis for leadership
Ensuring compliance with GST, BAS, and statutory requirements Reconciling sub-ledgers and resolving discrepancies Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
Liaising with external advisors and supporting audit requirements Identifying and implementing process improvements within finance systems What you'll need to succeed
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline 3-5+ years' experience in a similar accounting role Strong experience working with ERP systems (e.g. Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Wiise or similar)
Solid understanding of Australian tax compliance including GST and BAS Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail Experience working with inventory systems (highly regarded)
