In this role, you'll help deliver a range of sustaining capital projects within an active processing environment. This 12-month contract role blends technical leadership with project delivery. You'll support a multidisciplinary team while helping drive the successful delivery of a range of mechanical and infrastructure upgrades tied to upcoming major maintenance activities.Scope of InvolvementPortfolio Support Contribute to delivery of a portfolio of sustaining and improvement projects (generally $0.25M–$3M range)Support planning, sequencing and integration of works with broader operational and shutdown requirementsEngineering Leadership Provide technical guidance and oversight to a small mechanical engineering team (including junior engineers)Review and coordinate engineering outputs including design documentation, specifications and vendor inputsSupport safety-in-design and compliance with applicable standardsProject DeliveryTake lead responsibility for selected work packages as requiredSupport scope development, procurement activities, contractor engagement and execution planningInterface with operations, maintenance and site stakeholders to ensure constructability and minimal disruptionTypical Work Packages Plant upgrades associated with emissions management and environmental performanceModifications to materials handling and processing infrastructureReplacement or refurbishment of mechanical plant and equipmentElectrification and efficiency improvement initiativesSupport for lifting, access and auxiliary systems upgradesStakeholder Integration Work closely with site teams, OEMs and delivery partnersSupport alignment between engineering, procurement and construction activitiesContribute to readiness planning for upcoming major shutdown worksSenior Mechanical Engineer with experience in brownfield / sustaining capital environmentsStrong capability across both engineering design and project deliveryExperience coordinating small teams and mentoring junior engineersFamiliar with operational site constraints, shutdowns and staged deliveryComfortable working in a FIFO, site-based environmentQualifications for this position are:Bachelors Degree – Mechanical Engineering3 – 5 Years ExperienceMust be able to pass a Heavy MedicalResume must have TWO contactable referencesMust have full rights to work in Australia.Submit your application today by clicking APPLY NOWWe strongly encourage applications from people of all genders, Indigenous backgrounds, and members of the LGBTIQA+ community.We acknowledge and pay our respects to the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work and live, including their Elders, both past and present.
