This 12-month fixed-term contract role supports the AIR7002 Commercial Manager and plays a key part in ensuring procurement and contract activities are delivered in line with legislative, policy and governance requirements.
This role suits an experienced commercial professional who is comfortable working across complex procurement activities, advising on risk and compliance, and supporting project governance in a Defence environment. An active AGSVA NV1 security clearance is required.
What you will be involved with
As a Nova consultant embedded within the AIR7002 Project Office, you will provide specialist commercial services, including:Supporting procurement planning, tendering, contract formation and ongoing deed and contract management activities, including contract variations and amendmentsProviding advice and assistance on complex procurement and contract management matters in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and proceduresMonitoring and managing contract administration, supplier performance and contractual risks, and contributing to appropriate mitigation and resolution actionsDesigning and implementing risk mitigation strategies related to contract management activities, supplier performance and compliance with mandatory requirementsDeveloping, updating and coordinating commercial and project artefacts to support key project milestones, Gates and CommitteesSupporting the development and execution of cooperative programs with domestic and international partners, as requiredContributing to broader project governance and planning activitiesProviding subject matter guidance and mentoring to Project Office and ASCISPO team membersSupporting additional commercial activities as required to meet project objectivesWhat we would like from you
You will be a seasoned commercial or contract management professional with experience supporting complex projects in regulated environments.
Ideally, you will bring:Demonstrated experience in commercial services, procurement and contract management rolesStrong understanding of Commonwealth procurement frameworks, legislation and governance requirementsExperience advising on complex commercial and contractual issues, including risk and performance managementProven ability to manage contract administration, supplier performance and compliance activitiesExperience developing and maintaining commercial artefacts for governance forums and project milestonesThe confidence to provide guidance, mentoring and trusted advice to project stakeholdersStrong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and sound professional judgementExperience in Defence capability development or large government programs will be highly regarded. You must be an Australian citizen and hold, or be eligible to hold, an AGSVA NV1 security clearance.
