About the role
As a Personal Care Assistant, you will report to the Care Coordinator.
Tasks:
· Assisting patients with their mobility and communication needs
· Assisting patients with their personal care needs and daily activities such as showering, dressing, eating and cleaning
· Participating in planning the care of individuals
· Following therapy plans such as interventions to assist those with dementia and behavioural problems
· Observing and reporting changes in patients' condition, and reporting complaints about care
To be successful in this role you will have:
· At least a relevant AQF Certificate lll or equivalent, and at least three years of relevant experience
· Willingness to travel distance and be willing to work various hours.
· A roadworthy and registered vehicle and hold a current C class drivers' licence
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· The ability to demonstrate empathy with elderly residents
· The ability, and commitment, to uphold high standards of work
What's on Offer:
This is a permanent fulltime position, salary offered is $70,000 – $77,000 plus superannuation. The salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
