We are looking for a Management Accountant with at least 5 years' experience in the same or similar role. This is a full-time role offering a competitive salary range of up to $135,000 per annum plus super package and excellent career opportunities.
Working closely with the CFO, duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Management Reporting:
o o Preparation of monthly management reports, including clear analysis of actual results against budget and liaison with the client and executive teams to support accurate forecasting and re-forecasting for the remainder of the year.
o o Preparation of Board & Finance Committee Reports
o o Cashflow forecasting, reporting and analysis
o o Financial modelling
* Month End Close activities, including:
o o Income reconciliations
o o Collation and analysis of operational performance metrics
o o Journal preparation and posting
o o Balance sheet control and reconciliations
o o Compliance oversight and management
* Annual activities, including:
o o Prepare and coordinate the annual Budgeting process
o o Facilitate and manage the Annual audit, including liaison with external auditors
* Periodic activities including:
o o Manage term deposits and support regular investment reviews
o o Attend and contribute to finance committee meetings
o o Respond to ad hoc financial queries from client executives and staff
* Working closely with the wider team to ensure all client deliverables are met
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing these duties and responsibilities for 4-5 clients across a range of sectors
The ideal candidate will have experience and skills as follows:
* Strong accounting skills, eye for detail and inquisitive mind
* CA / CPA qualified designation or equivalent
* At least 5 years' experience in financial or management accounting or other relevant roles
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
* Experience in preparation, oversight and accountability for P&Ls and balance sheet
* Proven track record in providing robust and insightful financial analysis to support business decisions
* Good communication skills - both written and verbal
* Self-starter with the ability to think innovatively to find solutions and problem solve
* Demonstrated aptitude for running and enhancing processes
* Advanced excel skills and experience working with Xero
