Role Summary
A registered nurse is required to join the Department of Health's Community, Mental Health & Wellbeing team. The role will involve working with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality mental health services in the North West region.
About the Team
The Older Persons Mental Health (OPMHS) team is a community-based service based in Burnie, Tasmania. The team provides community-based and outreach mental health services to individuals requiring support.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering quality care to clients of OPMHS, providing specialist assessments and treatments, promoting community awareness of mental health, and acting as a consultant to other agencies.
You Will Need
* Current knowledge of nursing principles, procedures, and practices
* Sound interpersonal and communication skills
* Knowledge of continuous quality improvement and evidence-based practice
* Ability to undertake patient education and participate in ongoing professional development
