Administration Assistant – Casual Basis
About Us
Wintringham is a specialised non‐religious not‐for‐profit welfare organisation. We are committed to providing older people who are at risk or have experienced homelessness with a range of high‐quality care, housing and services. We employ more than 1,000 staff across Victoria and Tasmania.
Responsibilities
* Use Wintringham's financial accounting software to update and maintain the hostel's resident database.
* Process resident rental billings and payments.
* Attend to resident and Head Office enquiries as they arise.
* Process invoices to the Accounts Payable module for external services and Wintringham.
* Reconcile petty cash, attend to banking and other weekly/monthly returns to head office administration.
* Act as a receptionist at the RAC home, including answering telephone calls and taking messages or redirecting calls, liaising with residents and the general public.
* Collect mail from the post office and organise distribution.
* Use word processing functions to produce memorandums and letters.
* Photocopy, file and perform other general duties as required.
* Complete relevant data as required by head office.
* Update manuals and other documents as required.
* Manage courier services and other special delivery requirements.
* Reconcile the company's operating and trust accounts.
Qualifications
* Excellent administration skills; previous experience in a similar role within aged care/health care is highly advantageous.
* Strong financial management skills.
* Understanding of aged care processes.
* Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently.
* Strong IT skills and great knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
* A caring and non‐judgemental approach with the ability to work with people from varying socio‐economic backgrounds.
