Overview
We are looking for a talented and passionate Full Time Chef De Partie to join the PLG team at The Club in Caroline Springs. You'll have the opportunity to manage a designated kitchen section, supervise junior staff, and assist the team with menu development. The Club is a premier dining complex situated in Caroline Springs and has become a great venue within the community, offering a family friendly workplace, great service and a relaxed atmosphere for all to enjoy.
Responsibilities
* Maintain control and leadership in the kitchen during service times in allocated sections.
* Assist with the induction of new employees when required.
* Maintain qualified relationships with external supplies.
* Prepare and cook menu as per cooking guidelines and set standards.
* Work in conjunction with the head chef to develop and implement a menu.
* Ensure all staff follow safety procedures.
* Perform tasks such as lifting boxes, kegs or stock, standing for long periods of time, and utilizing stairs in a fast‐paced workplace.
Qualifications
* Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
* Food Handlers Certificate.
* Experience working in a pub/bistro quick‐paced setting.
* Well‐versed in all kitchen areas with hands‐on experience.
* Ability to follow and give directions when required.
* Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
* Full working rights in Australia.
