Our client is a growing wealth management firm with a well-established presence, specialising in providing tailored investment solutions and comprehensive wealth management services for HNW individuals and Family Offices.
About the role
As a CFA-qualified Investment Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping the firm's overall investment strategy through comprehensive research, portfolio management, and client engagement. Their strategy is multi-asset, with a strong focus on equities, incorporating both direct investments and fund-of-fund solutions.
While the primary focus of this role is investment research and portfolio management, it also encompasses broader responsibilities, such as collaborating with wholesale and sophisticated clients and contributing to the firm's business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform research and provide recommendations on equities (domestic and international)
* Conduct due diligence on existing and potential investment opportunities across broad asset classes;
* Stay abreast of industry trends to identify key opportunities, themes and strategies;
* Enhance internal portfolio management and risk management functions;
* Support business development and client-facing engagements;
* Support in ad hoc projects as required; AND
* Work closely with senior management, participating in investment and compliance committees.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
* Degree-qualified in Finance or Commerce;
* CFA Charterholder or completing CFA level 3;
* 5+ years of investment research experience within a funds management, asset consulting or wealth management business;
* Experience with Australian or international equities;
* Strong communication skillset with experience presenting to clients and/or external stakeholders;
* Broad knowledge of Australian and international financial markets and asset classes;
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a close-knit team;
* Analytical and solutions-driven;
* High proficiency in using Excel and other MS Office tools; AND
* Experience in and/or a keen interest in portfolio management.
