Job Description
The Team Leader Registered Nurse plays a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality medical care to residents in a Residential Aged Care Facility.
This senior position requires exceptional leadership and clinical skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with various healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive optimal care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing medical care, including assessing residents' health conditions, monitoring vital signs, and managing medications and treatments.
* Liaising with care staff, medical, allied health, hospital, and other specialist health practitioners to ensure residents receive high-level clinical care.
* Supervising others to undertake clinical care for individual residents, including complex wound care, pain management, behavior management, end-of-life care, and other clinical procedures as necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) administered through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Recent experience in caring for high-care and dementia residents.
* Knowledge of wound care, palliative care, behavior management, clinical assessments, and care plans.
Additional Requirements:
* Mandatory Police Clearance or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or both) to undertake the inherent requirements of this role.
* Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required prior to commencement.
