Minimum base salary annually exc. Superannuation: $75,000 – $80,000 per year
North Seafood and Grill restaurant is looking for an experienced Chef. Immediate start.
Apart from having relevant qualifications and work experience, key attributes for the role include reliability, punctuality, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure with a positive can-do attitude.
About the Role:
Providing support to head chef, understanding kitchen processes, maintaining stock levels, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, in order to maintain business objectives.Assisting in setting and updating menus and food pricing after approval from Head Chef.Assisting in creating Specials monthly, utilizing seasonal produce and ensuring profitability is maintained.Stock controlEnsuring adequate operations of kitchen equipmentPreparing recipesEnsuring quality of all food items (raw or cooked) at all stages of storage, preparation, cooking and presentationRostering kitchen staffSupervise, train and develop lower-level kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and high-energy working environment. Oversee and uphold food quality and hygiene standards in our kitchen operations.Manage inventory, order supplies and minimise waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
Requirements:
AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in relevant field with at least 1 year of verifiable work experience.At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.If you feel this role is for you and you have the required passion, skills and qualifications, apply for it!
