King of the Hills (KOTH) is the flagship operation of Vault Minerals Limited and one of the largest gold mines in Australia. After a significant expansion, KOTH now features a 7.5 million tonne per annum (Mtpa) processing plant, providing a solid platform for long‐term production growth. This dynamic operation combines open‐pit and underground mining, with exciting exploration activities driving the future. KOTH is located approximately 900 km northeast of Perth and 25 km north of Leonora, within the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Manager, the Mobile Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for leading the mobile maintenance function to ensure safe, efficient, and cost‐effective maintenance of all mobile plant and equipment. This role oversees planning, scheduling, execution, and continuous improvement of maintenance activities to maximise equipment availability, reliability, and operational performance in alignment with business objectives and statutory requirements.

Our fleet will include Hitachi Excavators (EX3600, EX2600, and EX1200), CAT 16JOY Graders, CAT 992 Loaders, CAT D10TT Dozers, Hitachi EH3500AC‐3 trucks, CAT 777 Water Carts, CAT 775 Service Trucks and CAT CS16 Roller.

This position will be offered on an 8:6 roster FIFO from Perth.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

* Manage, with the assistance of the Maintenance Supervisor, the day‐to‐day activities of the Mobile Maintenance teams, including contractors, in a cost‐effective and efficient manner, ensuring awareness of performance targets, and have access to the necessary tools to achieve these and that their activities are aligned with Company targets.
* Ensure that the activities of Mobile Maintenance personnel are consistently aligned with meeting operational targets by conducting regular inspections and audits specifically checking compliance of established standards and procedures in relation to safety & production issues.
* Identify, investigate, and report safety and environmental hazards related to ground control to mitigate risk and minimise the occurrence of incidents and injuries.
* Ensure minimal disruption to production through the ready access to critical parts & equipment and service providers by developing and maintaining good working relationships with external companies and having contingency plans in place to source these at short notice if required.
* Ensure organisational capability and a quality orientation by utilising relevant reports from Pronto or a similar CMMS to monitor the reliability, availability, and cost‐effectiveness of all electrical assets under control.
* Prepare and manage monthly cost reports for Mobile Maintenance.

About You

* Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification or nationally recognised trade certificate, and/or equivalent experience.
* Proven track record in supervising teams, managing performance, and fostering accountability, with demonstrated strengths in leadership, supervision, and mentoring. Certificate IV in Frontline Management (desirable).
* Ability to develop maintenance planning practices, with a proven capacity to adapt to and recover from planning variations.
* Demonstrated expertise in maintenance planning, reliability and asset management principles, complemented by strong budget management, resource allocation, and analytical capabilities.
* Previous experience working with OEM, Hitachi, and CAT product lines.
* Extensive experience in the development, implementation, and governance of systems and procedures, with a strong track record in the successful implementation of maintenance systems and reporting frameworks.
* Knowledge of the statutory requirements of the Western Australian Mining Act and Regulations, as well as the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act.
* WHS for Statutory Supervisor Training/Qualification (Schedule 26).
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer‐based maintenance systems, with proven experience in maintenance planning using CMMS platforms such as SAP, Pronto, and AMT.
* Hold a WA Class C Driver's license.
