Putt Putt Mermaid Beach is a renowned Gold Coast icon! There is no missing our bright yellow golf ball on the Gold Coast Highway. Putt Putt Mermaid Beach have provided fun family entertainment for generations. Featuring three 18-hole mini golf courses which are individually themed, a video games arcade, licensed 19th hole snack bar and a barbecue zone (perfect for larger groups and parties!). There is also ample free onsite parking. Putt Putt Mermaid Beach are thrilled to invite you to join our Putt Putt family!
About the role
Putt Putt Mermaid Beach are currently seeking an
Assistant Manager
to join our fun and energetic team. The position on offer is
permanent
, working to a roster which will include nights and weekends.
No two days are the same at Putt Putt. The duties include:
Opening and closing of the venue
Selling Putt Putt admission and upselling
Serving food and beverages, including alcohol
Providing outstanding customer service at all times
Attending to customer queries via phone and/or email
Co-ordinating group and party bookings
General cleaning of equipment and clubhouse
Managing, co-ordinating and training employees
Supervising all staff and operations of events
Ensure a "lead by example" approach is taken with all staff
The candidate
The successful candidate will have the following:
Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in a management or supervisory position, ideally within the tourism industry.
Have a background in travel, tourism or sales & marketing— either through formal study or hands on experience.
Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
Solid customer service and sales experience
Strong team leadership and management experience
A positive, confident and outgoing personality to match our entertaining venue
Be well presented, committed to the requirements of the role, reliable and organised
A team player, as well as the ability to work independently
Shows initiative and attention to detail
Customer engagement and focus - our customers visit us for a fun-loving experience
Flexible availability with the ability to work nights and weekends
