About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play an important role supporting day‐to‐day financial operations and ensuring the smooth running of the Accounts Payable function. This hands‐on role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely accounts payable support across the business while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Processing invoices, payments and expense claims
* Managing supplier queries and maintaining the AP inbox
* Performing invoice coding and allocations in line with company policies
* Preparing weekly and ad lib supplier payments
* Maintaining supplier records, databases and banking information
* Assisting with reconciliations including supplier statements and AP ledgers
* Supporting month‐end processes and reporting requirements
* Ensuring compliance with GST requirements and internal financial controls
* Providing administrative and operational support to the Finance Team as required
* Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives within the AP function
About You
* Have previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Finance Administration role
* Possess sound knowledge of accounts payable processes and accounting principles
* Have an understanding of Goods and Services Tax (GST) requirements
* Be highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy
* Demonstrate excellent communication and problem‐solving skills
* Be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook
* Have experience using accounting software or ERP systems
* Be able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‐paced environment
* Display a positive attitude and strong team‐oriented approach
* Be adaptable, dependable and willing to take a hands‐on approach
Qualifications & Experience
* Certificate IV or higher in Accounting, Finance or a related field is desirable
* 2–5 years' experience in an Accounts Payable role preferred
