Construction Manager Position
At our company, we are seeking a seasoned Construction Manager to lead the development of an extraction and processing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee project planning from inception to completion and handover as Project Leader for the construction phase.
* Implement and enforce a comprehensive Health and Safety management regime with zero incidents as a primary objective.
* Lead a multi-disciplinary team onsite comprising supervisors, engineers, safety personnel, quality control specialists, and subcontractors.
* Coordinate and supervise all construction activities including earthworks, civil works, site preparation, installation of power, water, internet, and essential services.
* Erect SMP, electrical, and process equipment in compliance with approved drawings, industry standards, mining codes, and company specifications.
* Maintain close communication with local authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
* Negotiate with contractors and suppliers to secure high-quality work within budget and timeline parameters.
* Prepare project schedules, progress reports, and cost control measures to track performance.
* Be willing to take a hands-on approach and perform tasks independently when necessary.
Requirements:
* A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
* 15+ years of experience as a Construction Manager or Project Manager in large-scale industrial or mining projects.
* Strong knowledge of local and mining regulations, customs, and operational practices in Western Australia.
* Commercial acumen, leadership skills, and ability to communicate effectively with local stakeholders and authorities.
