Speech Pathologist – Paediatric Neurodevelopmental Assessment

Dynamic allied health private practice in Mount Pleasant, Perth (WA). This role is ideal for early career to experienced speech pathologists.

Role Description

Permanent full‐time or part‐time position with flexible hours, hybrid arrangements, full administrative support and a professional environment that values training, supervision and ethical practice.

Base salary between $90,000 – $110,000 per annum, plus superannuation, personal development allowance, travel allowance and incentive opportunities. Contract arrangements can be discussed if preferred.

Responsibilities

* Conduct comprehensive multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental and autism spectrum disorder assessments in children.
* Administer the ADOS‐2 and related speech and language assessments.
* Carry out clinical interviewing, form differential diagnoses and write detailed assessment reports.
* Provide extensive feedback sessions with families.
* Collaborate with psychologists, a clinical neuropsychologist and a paediatrician.
* Occasionally travel for state‐wide, drive‐in/drive‐out or fly‐in/fly‐out assessments, accessing diverse populations including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
* Optional: conduct Specific Learning Disorder literacy assessment and/or take on a therapy caseload.

Qualifications

* Registered Speech Pathologist with relevant qualifications.
* Experience or strong motivation to become an autism spectrum disorder assessor, including competency in ADOS‐2.
* Proven ability to deliver clear and family‐centred assessment and reporting.
* Comfortable working with culturally diverse families and populations.
* Strong communication skills and collaborative approach.
