Overview
SHRIJ PTY LTD — As a Baker / Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and baking a wide range of bread, pastries, and baked goods to a high standard, ensuring consistency, quality, and food safety compliance.
Benefits provided with the role include a salary between $77,000 – $80,000 per annum and full-time, stable employment in a friendly team environment. There is an opportunity to grow within a reputable retail bakery.
Responsibilities
* Preparing and baking bread, rolls, loaves, artisan products, and specialty baked goods.
* Mixing, preparing and baking cakes, pastries, desserts and other baked items; measuring and combining ingredients using appropriate techniques and recipes.
* Monitoring oven temperatures and baking times to ensure product consistency and quality.
* Decorating and finishing pastries and cakes as required.
* Operating and maintaining baking equipment and machinery.
* Ensuring all food production meets quality control and presentation standards.
* Monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies and maintaining stock rotation.
* Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and WHS regulations.
* Training and supervising junior staff where required.
Qualifications
* Certificate III or Certificate IV in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery, Patisserie or related qualification).
* Minimum 1–2 years of relevant full-time work experience as a Baker or Pastry Cook.
* Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dough preparation and pastry production.
* Ability to work early morning shifts and in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Commitment to high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
