The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to take ownership of IMDEX's global IT systems across both on‐premises and cloud environments (primarily Cisco UCS X, Azure, with some AWS exposure). This is a hands‐on senior role focused on reliability, security, and scalability, with involvement in hybrid cloud engineering and ongoing platform modernisation. Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will play a key role in design, administration, support and optimisation of IMDEX's global infrastructure, supporting both operational delivery and strategic uplift initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and support global IT infrastructure across on‐premises and cloud platforms
* Administer Windows and Linux/Unix server environments, including build, patching, backup, and recovery
* Manage virtualisation platforms (VMware and Azure VM)
* Own backup and disaster recovery planning and testing
* Deploy and support solutions in Microsoft Azure (IaaS, networking, identity integration)
* Provide exposure/support across AWS environments (where applicable)
* Support hybrid connectivity (VPN, identity integration, cloud networking)
* Monitor and optimise cloud performance, availability, and cost
* Manage Entra ID, Hybrid Active Directory, and Intune environments
* Implement and maintain security controls aligned to internal standards
* Support secure access models across global users and regional offices
* Manage and troubleshoot VPNs and site connectivity
* Network performance and segmentation
* Perform capacity planning and performance optimisation
* Maintain documentation, diagrams, and system inventories
* Provide support, technical escalation and mentoring
* Work with vendors and service providers
* Participate in on‐call support when required

What You'll Bring
You are currently operating as a Senior Systems Administrator with strong experience in enterprise environments and exposure to cloud and hybrid infrastructure. You take ownership of systems end‐to‐end and contribute to continuous improvement and modernisation initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
* Currently working in a Senior Systems Administrator (or equivalent) role
* 5+ years' experience in enterprise infrastructure environments
* Hands‐on experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS, identity, networking) essential
* Exposure to AWS environments (desirable)
* Understanding of hybrid cloud integration patterns
* Strong experience across: Intune/endpoint management, IaaS, SaaS and PaaS configurations and deployments, solid networking knowledge (firewalls, VPNs, troubleshooting), experience supporting hybrid environments (on‐prem + cloud)
* Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
