Exercise Physiologist - Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team in Longreach, Queensland.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exercise programs and interventions for clients across various health levels. This includes assessing movement capacity, designing individualized exercise programs, and delivering group classes focused on falls prevention, cardiac, and pulmonary health.
In addition to the above responsibilities, the Exercise Physiologist will also screen and risk-stratify clients, provide health education and advice, and manage communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Position Responsibilities
* Develop and implement safe and effective exercise programs for clients with varying health needs
* Conduct assessments to identify client movement capacity and create tailored exercise plans
* Deliver group classes focusing on preventative measures for chronic conditions and injuries
* Provide expert advice and guidance on healthy lifestyle choices
* Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress
This role involves regular travel to surrounding communities, with occasional overnight stays. All work-related expenses are subsidized by the organization.
Requirements
* Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Physiology from an accredited institution
* Current registration with the relevant professional body (Exercise & Sports Science Australia)
* A valid Australian driver's license and willingness to use it for work purposes
* Combined Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening clearance
* Australian work rights and eligibility for employment
* Queensland Health credentialing is highly desirable
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong problem-solving abilities
