About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable IT Desktop Support Officer to join our dynamic IT Systems team based at our corporate head office in Somersby. In this hands-on role, you'll deliver high-quality technical support to our team across both remote and face-to-face channels.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of IT industry experience who is looking to take the next step in their career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing prompt and professional desktop support to end-users
* Managing and resolving incidents, problems, and service requests
* Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
* Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, and end-user devices
* Monitoring critical infrastructure and escalating issues as needed
* Continuously learning and upskilling in emerging technologies
About You
We are looking for someone who brings a balance of technical know-how and exceptional customer service. You'll thrive in a busy support environment and take pride in resolving issues efficiently and professionally.
To be successful in this role you will have:
* 1–2 years of experience in a Desktop Support or Service Desk position (essential)
* A strong customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
* Good working knowledge of hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals)
* Experience in software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
* Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and common business applications
* Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN)
* Solid troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to problem solving
* Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently
