Security Officers | Townsville Shopping Centre
We are currently seeking Retail Security Officers to join our team at Townsville Shopping Centre on a casual basis, with opportunities to progress into long‐term, stable employment.
As a Security Officer at Townsville Shopping Centre, you'll support the largest retail centre in the relaxed coastal city of Townsville.
You'll play an active role in maintaining a secure environment and ensuring smooth daily operations by assisting customers, responding to incidents, and working alongside centre management.
Responsibilities
* Providing high‐quality customer service and front‐line support
* Identifying and resolving potential risks and issues proactively
* Responding to all medical and security incidents
* Accurately reporting and recording incidents during your shift
* Responding to emergencies in line with site protocols
* Building professional relationships with emergency services
* Using conflict resolution and de‐escalation techniques effectively
Qualifications
* A current QLD Security License with valid Crowd Control function
* Valid First Aid and CPR certificates
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* A customer‐first attitude with strong interpersonal skills
* Flexibility to work within a rotating 24/7 roster
* High personal integrity and grooming standards
* Previous experience in regulated environments (desirable)
