About Our Organization
NBMLHD provides public health and clinical services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region. The district offers a range of Medical Imaging (Radiology), Nuclear Medicine, and Nuclear Medical Therapy procedures to diagnose, assess, and treat patients.
Responsibilities
* Lead imaging services and provide expert diagnostic imaging support.
* Mentor and supervise radiographers and students to develop their skills and enhance performance.
* Collaborate with medical teams to optimise patient care pathways and achieve best practice outcomes.
* Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in imaging practices to safeguard patient well-being.
* Contribute to evaluation and implementation of new technologies and protocols to enhance service delivery and improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
* Possess a degree in Medical Radiation Science and current registration with AHPRA as a Medical Radiation Practitioner.
* Possess an appropriately recognised postgraduate qualification or equivalent relevant professional experience.
* Demonstrated knowledge and clinical expertise in general X-ray modalities to deliver high-quality patient care.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team to achieve shared goals.
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
