A Commis Chef is responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while contributing to departmental targets.
What will I be doing? As a Commis Chef, you will prepare and present high-quality dishes, ensure all mis-en-place is ready, and support departmental targets. Your responsibilities include:
Ensuring consistent food quality in line with Hilton standards Performing tasks efficiently and timely Supporting kitchen revenue through effective food cost control Assisting the kitchen team Maintaining cleanliness and preventing cross-contamination Reporting maintenance, hygiene, and safety issues Complying with all safety, security, and hygiene regulations Striving to meet departmental goals What are we looking for? Ideal candidates will have:
Previous experience as a Commis or Apprentice Chef NVQ Level 1 or higher Positive attitude and good communication skills Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team A passion for food and learning Proof of basic food hygiene certification Completion of an accredited cookery course or apprenticeship Additional advantageous qualifications include NVQ Level 2.
