We’re on the hunt for an enthusiastic and inspiring Assistant Service Leader to bring their passion and leadership to our team! This part-time role working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The Role
As our Assistant Service Leader, you'll play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day operations of our Outside School Hours Care service. You will lead and support a team of dedicated educators, ensuring that all children receive high-quality care. Your role is the bridge that connects families, the community, and our dedicated team of educators. Bring your energy, experience, and passion to help us shine even brighter!
Your Responsibilities
Plan and deliver a diverse range of engaging activities and experiences for children.
Actively supervise and engage children in both indoor and outdoor activities that stimulate learning and promote wellbeing.
Support the Service Leader to Provide leadership, mentoring, support and guidance to OSHC Educators to ensure compliance and excellence across all areas of the service.
Support the Service Leader to perform administrative tasks such as record-keeping and documentation.
Foster a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment where children can play, explore, and develop new skills.
Design and deliver programs tailored to the varying ages, interests, and abilities of the children, in alignment with the My Time Our Place: Framework for OSHC and the National Quality Framework.
Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families, and the wider school community.
Work collaboratively with the team to achieve the best outcomes for children and families.
Help maintain a clean, safe, and inviting space.
Selection Criteria
Diploma qualification or ACECQA equivalent relevant for OSHC Services.
Previous leadership experience in the early childhood sector.
A solid understanding of current Childcare Legislation including National Quality Standards, (NQS), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG).
Current First Aid Qualifications (CPR, Asthma, Anaphylaxis).
Completed relevant Child Protection Training course (as per Section 126A of the Education and Care Services National Law).
Fantastic communication skills to engage positively with staff, children, and families.
A commitment to driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance.
