As a Lecturer in the Master of Film and Television programme, you will have the opportunity to develop and deliver high-quality learning experiences that inspire and shape the future of creative screen production in Australia. You will engage with industry professionals, contribute to curriculum development, and support students in their creative endeavours, ensuring compliance with discipline standards and fostering a collaborative learning environment.


Your responsibilities will include:

Lead Innovative Teaching: Prepare and deliver lectures and seminars, support student productions, and provide mentorship and feedback.

Develop Curriculum: Create high-quality subject materials, coordinate subjects, and contribute to curriculum development.

Engage with Industry: Foster partnerships with external networks and contribute to professional practice in creative industries.

Participate in Leadership: Engage in programme planning, faculty meetings, and outreach activities, promoting diversity and inclusion.


You may be a great fit if:

You are a practising filmmaker with over five years of experience, possess a deep understanding of screen production, creative collaboration, and industry trends, ready to inspire and mentor students in a dynamic academic environment.


You may also:

Be an established film and television practitioner with a minimum of five years of professional experience.

Possess a strong understanding of contemporary Australian screen industry practices and international comparisons.

Have experience in teaching filmmaking at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels, focusing on practice-led pedagogy.

Demonstrate effective communication strategies and skills, with a capacity to manage and supervise staff.

Be willing to engage actively with university planning processes and industry partnerships.
