About the role
We are offering a permanent role of Clinical Supervisor in the team at our Bunbury/Busselton/Margaret River offices.
The position involves senior clinical expertise to shape high-quality, evidence-based youth mental health care across three vibrant Southwest headspace centres.
In this pivotal role, you will provide clinical leadership and supervision to salaried practitioners, early-career staff and students, while leading a structured clinical education and student placement program aligned with the headspace model of care and the lead agency's supervision framework.
Working across multiple regional sites, you will strengthen workforce capability, embed consistent clinical practice (including risk management and brief interventions), and drive service development and quality improvement initiatives that improve outcomes for young people aged 12–25, their families and the wider community.
The current vacancy is 3 days per week.
Skills, experience, and qualifications
* Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, occupational therapy, mental health nursing or related discipline and current registration/accreditation with the relevant professional body (e.g. AASW, AHPRA, ACA, PACFA)
* Substantial post-qualification experience in mental health, including assessment, risk management and treatment of young people and/or families in community settings
* Demonstrated training and experience in providing clinical supervision, with capacity to supervise across disciplines and experience levels
* Strong knowledge of evidence-based early intervention in youth mental health, including understanding of the headspace model of care, recovery-orientated and trauma-informed practice
* Highly developed interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and build partnerships across regional services
* Demonstrated commitment to culturally safe, inclusive practice, particularly with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people, LGBTIQA+ young people and other priority groups
* Current Working with Children Check and current driver's licence, and capacity to travel regularly within the region.
* WA Police Force National Police Certificate (obtain upon request)
