Position Overview
With a substantial tenement portfolio and a growing production profile, Horizon is seeking an Exploration Geologist to join the team and contribute to the discovery and advancement of new gold resources across the company's project portfolio.
Reporting to the Exploration Geology Superintendent, the Exploration Geologist is responsible for aiding early-stage and advanced exploration programs supporting the discovery and development of high-value targets across the Company's tenements. This is a hands‐on role supporting the Company's strategic growth objectives.

About You
This role will suit a driven and technically capable geologist looking to make a tangible impact on the growth of an emerging gold company.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Bachelor of Science in Geology, Geoscience or Earth Science (or equivalent).
* Previous relevant experience in exploration and/or resource definition, gold experience is preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate exploration programs and lead small teams.
* Advanced knowledge of drilling operations (Diamond, RC and Aircore).
* Capable with geological datasets and database management systems.
* Fieldwork capability in remote environments and able to lead by example in the field.
* Competence in the use of GIS (QGIS), 3D modelling (Micromine or Leapfrog) and logging software (Geobank).
* Strong observation, analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
* Capability to work independently in the field.
* Assay QA/QC knowledge and data validation processes.
* "Can do" attitude, initiative and problem‐solving skills.
* Field certifications including 4WD, First Aid.
* Statutory Supervisor (Regulation 26), WA Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations advantageous.
Travel and Flexibility
This role is FIFO 8/6 from Perth to the Goldfields region or residential based in Kalgoorlie.
