Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer

Austek Roads seeks skilled professionals to join their finance team as Accounts Payable and Receivable Officers. As part of a high-performing team that values initiative, accuracy, and collaboration, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate payment processing, reconciliations, and record-keeping.


Responsibilities:

* Process supplier invoices and customer payments with precision and speed.
* Manage payment receipting and allocation, maintaining accurate records and reports.
* Match invoices with dockets and ensure appropriate authorisation for prompt settlement.
* Perform monthly reconciliations for suppliers, statements, and intercompany transactions to ensure financial accuracy.
* Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations, identifying any discrepancies or issues.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier and customer records, including contact details and payment history.
* Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
* Manage credit applications and fuel tax credit calculations, ensuring compliance with regulations.
* Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear and concise information.
* Utilise MYOB and Microsoft Excel for financial tasks, staying up-to-date with software developments and best practices.


Requirements:

* Experience with MYOB (AccountRight Premier), MEX, and TFO is highly desirable.
* Strong organisational and time management skills are essential for meeting deadlines and priorities.
* Previous experience in the road construction industries is advantageous.
* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills are necessary for resolving complex issues.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
* Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset are crucial for success in this role.
