Job Description
BlueScope is an Australian-born global success story spanning 15 countries. Our team of over 16,500 people is our strength and we want our people to be safe, successful and well. We're leaders and innovators in transforming steel into smart products and solutions that support society, today and in the future. We're proud of brands, like COLORBOND steel that inspire and protect everything from hospitals to bridges and stadiums.
The Opportunity
Are you looking to grow your engineering career in a role that builds your technical depth, expands your field experience, and puts you at the centre of supporting and improving ENDUROFRAME manufacturing now and for the future? Join our Australian Steel Markets (ASM) team in our Enduroframe team as a Equipment Support Specialist based in Mount Waverley VIC or Port Kembla NSW. Working Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm, you'll play a hands-on role in lifting the uptime, efficiency and quality of over 70 licensee manufacturing operations. You'll be the expert they rely on, commissioning new equipment, supporting daily performance, and ensuring their machines remain running safely, reliably and at their best.
You'll also be part of shaping the future of the ENDUROFRAME system. By developing clear maintenance and repair procedures, supporting product improvements, and working closely with our engineering, manufacturing, and supplier partners, you'll help drive innovations that lift productivity, reduce costs, and enhance quality for both existing and future licensees. This is a unique opportunity that gives you deep visibility into how the industry builds, the problems customers need solved, and the technology needed to stay ahead, allowing you to help design smarter framing, digital tools, and practical solutions that change the way people build.
What Will You Do
As the first point of contact for all ENDUROFRAME stakeholders, you'll provide frontline technical support for ENDURO rollformers, ENDUROBRACE machines and ENDUROHUB, investigating and resolving mechanical and minor electrical issues, managing spare parts, and supporting licensees with professionalism and urgency. You'll also:
* diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues, restoring performance quickly and confidently
* deliver onsite commissioning, maintenance and breakdown response, travelling to customer sites to complete installations, annual preventative maintenance, and hands-on fault resolution
* strengthen product performance and customer capability by documenting clear procedures, developing training programs, producing help-system content (including videos), and maintaining accurate equipment and software records.
* collaborate with machine manufacturers and internal teams, providing technical insights, supporting continuous improvement
* champion safety in everything you do, working within our standards, identifying improvement opportunities, and ensuring ENDURO equipment is operated and supported safely across all sites
More About You
You'll thrive if you're someone who brings initiative, adaptability, and genuine pride in solving real technical challenges. You're comfortable working independently in dynamic environments, managing competing priorities, and stepping forward when customers need you most. You'll also bring a strong customer focus, building trusted relationships and representing the business with professionalism and confidence. You'll also bring:
* a Mechanical or Mechatronics (or related) engineering degree with strong hands-on competency in machinery operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
* well-developed diagnostic skills across mechanical, control systems, electrical, and quality-related issues, and the professionalism to guide and support customers on the ground
* the flexibility and readiness to travel at short notice, delivering installations, scheduled service work, breakdown support, and hands-on technical assistance
* a genuine commitment to safe work practices and continuous improvement in safety and quality standards
* interest or experience in manufacturing equipment, industrial automation, basic electrical/networking concepts, and technical documentation
* collaboration and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences
