About MHDAS
Barwon Health's Mental Health Drugs and Alcohol Services (MHDAS) offers integrated, recovery-oriented mental health and substance use assessment, treatment, harm reduction, and community and family support for all ages within the Barwon Region. The Swanston Centre is a 32-bed acute psychiatric unit providing recovery-oriented care for adults experiencing major mental health issues.
The Facility
Major sites include University Hospital Geelong, McKellar Centre, Barwon Health North, and various residential aged care facilities. Mental health, community health, and dental services are delivered across the region, including Torquay and Colac.
The Role
Your primary responsibility is to deliver high-quality, recovery-based psychiatric care to consumers (50+) as part of a multidisciplinary team within a holistic model.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in Acute Mental Health settings
Interest in recovery-oriented, consumer-centered care
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
